Google
Adwords Review
Websites get traffic from two sources. Paid search and
unpaid (natural or organic) search. There two terms are totally
different and requires different level of knowledge, expertise
and tools.
1) Paid
Search:
Paid search means the ppc (pay per click) program
provided by different companies such as Google, yahoo and msn
etc. Basically all these programs are the same with different
interfaces depending on the company. Google has the best and
most user friendly interface of all.
Advantages of PPC
Advertisement:
- You will determine your daily budget and the bids on
keywords.
You decide what your minimum and maximum PPC price is for
your ads.
You can set different bids for
content and search network.
- You can be very specific about where you want your ads
to show. With the correct ongoing optimization you can have
highly targeted ads published. You have total control over
your keywords at all times and can make changes on a daily
basis.
- You pay only when your visitors click the ads and visit
your website.
After signing up with Google Adwords(Google Adwords Tutorial), next steps will be
to determine the keywords and write text ads and bid on
keywords within the daily budget. Ads will appear either on
Google Search or Google content network depending of the
campaign settings. If the search network is chosen ads will
appear on the left side of the google homepage under sponsored
links. If content network is chosen ads will appear on the
content network of Google where website owners agree to publish
Google ads with Google
Adsense.
2) Natural Search
(Organic Search):
Unpaid search is the natural ranking of the
search where the results appear on the left side of the Google
home page. Google does not accept any payments to rank better
in this area. Unpaid search is also known as natural or organic
search because the ranking does not depend on the bidding on
the keywords. Google determines the ranking based on popularity
and other factors which will be explained later. Since there is
no bidding or payment in this area. Ranking depends on search
engine optimization(seo) of the website. There are many factors
related to seo(search engine optimization) such as: Total links
from other websites to that page. Domain name, history of the
domain, quality of the links, content of the pages who are
linking to that site, history of the links.....
We will focus on paid search and Google
